The 8th Sing Fires of Justice program was held October 6th, 2013 at St. Matthews Lutheran Church, Kitchener.

Theme: Sing Fires of Justice for Stolen Sisters

SING FIRES OF JUSTICE 2013: The Good-Hearted Women Singers “Mino Ode Kwewak N’gamowak”, a KW singing and drumming circle, joined Lee Maracle, celebrated indigenous author, poet, educator and performing artist, to present stories of First Nations’ women. Choral singers were invited to participate in a workshop on Saturday morning (Oct. 5th) to prepare for the Sing Fires of Justice interfaith event on Sunday evening (October 6th) at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, 54 Benton St., Kitchener. The choirs contributed a combination of traditional choral repertoire and new material to support a response to right relations with First Nations Peoples.
